·Off for the Holidays!·

Haven't had time to post lately, because I've been insanely busy. And now I'm out the door! I won't be back until second week of January. I'll be in North Carolina with the in-laws over Christmas until the 29. Then I come back to Orlando to leave with my parents on a cruise with my whole big family. FUN! This will be a wonderful vacation. I hope everyone has a great holiday season!

·No Funk·

Well, we ended up skipping out on the show last night, unfortunately. Andrew has been pretty sick (he's almost NEVER sick!). He spent all last night coughing. So sad. I wasn't up to going without him, so we just stayed in. Oh well. I don't think we were in the mood to get down and funky last night.

Orders are finally rolling in in a somewhat steady stream. Pretty good feeling. I'm working on a few different ones right now. It needs to pick up still more to make up for a full income, but it's most definitely progress. I've made some tweaks to my website to see if it turns those hits into sales, but it's been hard to have a large enough block of time to revamp it entirely. We'll see what happens with that!

I can't stop staring at that sonogram picture. It seems unbelievable that that is inside me. I keep thinking back to seeing her live, kicking and hiccuping. What an incredible experience to actually see my daughter and not just think of this abstract creature taking up residence in my uterus. She's real, and she looks like a real baby already. I can't imagine what it will be like the day I finally get to hold her in my arms. Wow.

·Well, It's Official!·

I officially look pregnant. Last night I was meeting one of my friends at Chili's. I got there a few minutes before she did, and there was a short wait for a table. All of the benches were taken, so I was the only person standing. After a minute or two, this girl about my age got up, approached me, and offered me her seat. WOW!

I forgot to turn on the flash, so it's extra bad quality this time, but this was me last night at 19 weeks...

·I'm an Idiot·

I was just on the phone with my dad. I had emailed him and Andrew a little wish list for Christmas. There isn't much I want, but one thing I've had on my mind for a while is an iPod. I mentioned that I don't need the jazzy new iPods. Just a plain, simple one. I'll never use the video function once, and I don't need anything tiny and cute.

Well, he was just telling me how they don't really sell the regular iPods anymore. I told him that that there are plenty of places online that still do sell the old ones for a great deal, and that's all I'll ever need. I went on how there's no sense in spending $400 on the new one, it's senseless, blah blah blah. He reminds me that it holds a lot more memory than the regular ones, but I proceed to go on about how it's still utterly useless to me because I probably have never even heard the amount of songs that fit in that thing in my entire life. I only want it for very simple reasons, blah blah blah. Finally, he goes, "Ok, fine. I already got you the video iPod."

My hormonal reaction to this news was a very whiny, "Daaaaad!!!" and about how stupid it was for him to spend that money when I specifically said I didn't want it. I went on and on. Finally he started laughing and was like, "My daughter is complaining about getting a new iPod!" Ugh. I feel like such a bitch now. Ever since we've hung up I've been crying. Half the time I'm crying because he spent way more money than I ever wanted him to spend, and half the time I'm crying because of what an idiot I am about getting the secret out of him and making him feel stupid for splurging on me. I'm just a mess. I feel like I don't want any iPod now because I don't deserve it. I hate being such a bitch.

·Let it Snow!·

Today's Way Back Wednesday theme is pictures of you in the snow.

Even though I'm a Florida girl, I've seen snow quite a few times. My very first time seeing it, I was probably about 4 years old, and I remember it so very clearly. It was my first time being in cold weather EVER. At this point in my life, I had only been in Puerto Rico or Venezuela, so the coldest I had ever been was probably in air conditioning! You can imagine how strange everything was to me when they took me up to Philadelphia in the winter time to visit my uncle. The first day we were there, there was no snow yet, but it was cold. I was walking down the street when I suddenly noticed I could see my breath. I started SCREAMING!!! I just knew I was spontaneously combusting from the inside out and my stomach was on fire. I was crying and crying that I had fire in my stomach and was turning into a dragon. I remember my parents trying to explain to me that that happens to everyone in cold weather and it has nothing to do with fire. They showed me their breath, they pointed out everyone walking around us. I was comforted enough to stop wailing and thinking I was going to die, but I was still pretty nervous.

Sometime that night or the next, the snow fell, and we woke up to a blanket of white snow. I looked out the window and yelled "SNOW!!!" I ran outside and stuck my bare hands directly into the snow when I suddenly realized, "OH MY GOD THIS IS SO COLD!!!" I mean, who knew that snow was so cold?? I thought it was fluffy cotton or something. I started screaming at the sensation of my frozen fingers with the snow stuck to it. I went crying back to my mom and she ran my hands under warm water and explained that I needed gloves to play in the snow. Fortunately, I was able to get over the initial trauma od it all and really enjoy myself out in the snow. It's so funny to think back and remember it all so vividly!

Unfortunately, I only have recent pictures of me in the snow, but here they are:

This is me during the first snowfall in a place I was actually living! It was a small snowfall, but exciting nonetheless. College in North Carolina...

Here's a picture of my college roommates and I in the snow when we went up North for Spring Break like a bunch of idiots when everyone else was frolicking at the beach!

These next two are the last time I saw snow, almost exactly two years ago. I flew up to Rochester to see Dave Matthews and Friends play.

AHHHHH, snow days. Loved the pictures but the story was even better!

If you curser back and forth over the snow angel picture, it looks like you are moving! Cool.

I love the snow! Spriong break somewhere cold. Not so sure about that!

While I love to look at a snow angel I cannot for the life of me figure out why people like to lie down in the snow.

But you look awful cute doing it though!

Are you kidding me? You have not lived until you lay down in the snow and make an angel!

·Pregnancy Tears·

Last night, in front of my sister-in-law, I started crying over a gingerbread man I was about the decorate. The imprinted smile on his face just looked so contrived to me that I couldn't help but weep and ask my sister-in-law if we could switch men because I couldn't bare this one. I was so embarrassed, but I couldn't help it!! I'm someone who can usually count on one hand the number of times I cry in an entire year!

My in-laws left this morning after being here since Friday. It was a very nice time, though I did more cooking in these few days than I had in weeks. It all turned out really well, though. I was happy. Yesterday, we went down to Cedar Key. It was so nice. I'll post pictures as soon as I have the chance.
