·Gooo Gators!!·

Last night's game was terrifying. We outplayed them all game, but we had several slip-ups. We just squeaked by. *Whew* Anna was all pumped up for the game too...

I have some appointments to meet with some local gift shops this coming week. It's so nervewracking to be calling places to try and sell myself and then actually show up and hope they like what I have to offer. Scary! Wish me luck!

This is soooooooooo cute. Even if it is for the wrong team.

How are you doing. I feel like we never get to talk anymore (that makes me sad)

Hope you are well. If your looking around for me you can find me on nancies on the weight loss support thread (I'm down 16 pounds...go me!)

·Misc·

I'm in a kind of down mood. I don't know if I should shut off the TV with all of this 9/11 stuff or if I should watch some of it. Sometimes I feel like it's important to remember, sometimes I feel like there is no use in feeling down all day just because of the date on the calendar. Who knows.

Also, Anna has her first cold. She woke up Saturday morning a little snotty. She was a bit worse yesterday, but she was still in a good mood. Today she is not so happy. It breaks my heart that I couldn't protect her or that I can't do something to make her feel better. I put saline drops in her nose to help clear her out when she starts having trouble breathing, and she HATES it. She starts crying so hard and just looks right at me. Ugh. My poor baby.

We had a good weekend before all this. We went to a winery on Saturday and then explored the rural area around it. It was gorgeous out, and we got some great pictures...

My poor little baby. You can tell she's a little sniffly in that big smiling close-up, but she was still in high spirits. Poor thing. :(

·Secret·

Yet another annoying commercial campaign has invaded my television viewing pleasure. Secret. Maybe they only air them in the daytime, but I can't stand the whole fake secret sharing scenarios that they expect us to get emotional about. They started with a girl telling her mom she had her first kiss playing spin the bottle. The mom's secret was that she already knew and, "It's ok if you don't want to share everything with me," blah, blah, blah. I guess it's supposed to be touching because the girl is growing up. Does this mean the girl needs to start wearing deodorant now?

The latest one I saw was the worst commerical I have possibly ever seen. There are two women. One of them starts sqeaking her words as she begins to fake crying while she tells the other her secret: she never wants children. Huh? Why is that something for which you set up a whole official secret-telling ceremony for the world to see?? Then, in an amazing, ironic twist to leave the moved audience gasping, the other shares, "I'M FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT!!" The two then squeal, embrace, and break down into sobs. Umm...what? What about any of this is supposed to be believable? And if it's obviously fake, why are you supposed to enjoy...nay, TOLERATE two actresses squeaking through their made up secrets??? It's not even gag-worthy. It's just plain aggravating, mostly because I try to picture who wrote the commercial, who directed it, and who paid for all of these spots to air this piece of crap????

Supposedly they aren't scripted & they are real people exposing their "secrets". I went to the Secret website & watched some of them. It's very cheesy.
